Cover Girl - You decide

Stars in their eyes…?
No, I'm not into dressing up like Lady GaGa, but I could be up for singing 'The Edge of Glory'.

As most of you know I am a bit of a singer/songwriter with 10 years on the London gig circuit under my belt, a UK tour, my own record label, an album and a couple of ep's to my name.

And whilst I love singing my own tunes, I occasionally venture into the world of covers - now this is where you come in!

I want YOU to suggest a song for me to cover during my set at the IAStival. I want you to think - Radio One's Live Lounge - all suggestions will be considered. If Newton Faulkner can make 'Spongebob Squarepants' credible, and Ellie Goulding can make 'Sweet Disposition' by the Temper Trap her own, then I'm sure I can do justice to your favourite tune.

I will reveal a shortlist of 3 in the final newsletter a few days prior to the IAStival, but you will have to wait until the event to find out which one I choose.

Use the COMMENT box to post your suggestions.

Amy Winehouse- Tears Dry On Their Own
Jay Z - 99 Problems
My Jay Z - 99 Problems still stands as I'd like to hear a soul version of it a bit like the version Aloe Black has done.....but....leading on from Kat's one i'd like to hear 'Love Is A Losing Game' by Amy Winehouse too. :)
How about My Guy by Mary Wells. It's a 'Tam'la Motown song!
'What you're made of' - by Lucie Silvas :)
Lovin the suggestions - keep 'em coming!
Robert Burns, My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose
Son of a preacher man all the way gotta be a singalongadingdong! DFA
anything by donald fagan - no wait, everything by donald fagan. you know what i'm talking about, tamsin.
Ring of Fire by the Cash-meister please!
You lot have great taste!

I hear ya Julian... IGY(What a Beautiful World) is a particular fave!

I also got an email suggesting – Shawn Colvin's 'Never Saw Blue Like That'.

Do you want a classic, or a contemporary tune...? Something you can all singalong to or a chill-out ballad...?

The choice is YOURS!
Biffy Clyro - Mountains

Will make it more of a challenge covering male vocal.

I like Cath's suggestion though. Anything by Johnny Cash would go down a treat!
Mumford and sons - Little lion man

If not i'll side with Barnes and Geo. Cash all the way!
I'll go for a classic, 'unplugged' tune....Tracy Chapman, Fast Car
Thank you for all your fabulous suggestions!

The song has now been chosen, and you'll just have to wait and see (or listen) which one made it to the top spot on Saturday 10th Sept.

I'll be onstage in the acoustic tent from 7:30.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Hong Kong police are questioning a man over the disappearance of a HK$420,000 watch that went missing while its owner played soccer at a Sham Shui Po playground on Sunday night. An rolex replica uk initial investigation showed a bag carrying the Rolex Daytona watch was left on a bench at the junction of Fat Tseung Street West Playground and Ying Wa Street at about 10pm Sunday when its owner, surnamed Chung, went to play soccer with his friends there, police said. Chung, 20, was understood to be working as a project manager at an engineering replica rolex watches company and residing with his family at a luxury house in Tuen Mun. The theft was discovered at about 11pm, when the match ended, and Chung went to retrieve the bag and found the watch gone.
